The Spanish Citizenship Process:
- Obtain a residence visa, also known as a Golden Visa Spain. This visa is only valid for a single year
- Apply for a 2-years residence permit. As long as you have an existing investment, you can renew your Golden Visa Spain residency every two years
- After spending a minimum of 6 months in Spain each year over a 5-year period, you can apply for a permanent residence status. Permanent Residency Europe!
- If you maintain those conditions for 10 years, you can apply for Spanish nationality
There's a major tax benefit here for real estate buyers. If you're in Spain for less than 6 months each year, you'll only owe taxes on the initial purchase of the property

To qualify for residency, you'll need to make a minimum property investment of EUR 500,000 in Spain.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Various documents are needed, but we can simplify the process for you by obtaining these documents.
You agree to the retainer. Payment for the retainer is needed.
You select a property, either remotely or by visiting Spain in-person. For an in-person visit, you have to visit your country's Spanish Consulate and obtain a Tourist Visa.
The property is officially purchased and all documentation is collection. The cost and taxes of the property become payable.
Your Residency Application and associated documents are finalized for submission.
Once everything is submitted, government fees become payable and professional fees become payable.
Government will review your submission and either grant or deny Resident Visa.
You obtain a Residence Visa. This visa will expire in 1 year, and it doesn't grant you permission to work in Spain. However, you can immediately apply for a 2-year Residence Permit.
Final professional fees are also due in weeks 10 and 11.
